Operational oceanography often prioritizes data acquisition and internal analysis, while public accessibility of data is typically rel- egated to later stages or entirely dismissed. This work highlights a departure from this norm by deploying a moored buoy 2km off the coast of Barcelona, accompanied by an intuitive 3D web application for real-time data visualization, operational from the very first day of deployment. By prioritizing immediate accessibil- ity, this approach underscores the importance of transparent and inclusive data-sharing practices in oceanographic research. We present the data flow, from acquisition to processing and 3D visu- alization, alongside the development and functionality of the web application. This integrated framework not only empowers scien- tists and technicians but also fosters engagement with a broader audience, showcasing the value of making data open and compre- hensible as a fundamental component of operational oceanogra- phy deployments and FAIR principles.Downloads
