About the Journal

PRESENTATION | DC PAPERS is an academic journal created in 1998 within the framework of the Department of Theory and History of Architecture and Communication Techniques of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, with the objective of building a space in which the theory and history of architecture was approached from the exercise of criticism. After the opening of its scientific committee and the open call for articles in 2009, the journal was indexed in the main databases in the AU field. In 2026 it begins a new stage as a digital open access research journal.

This monographic issue of the magazine DC papers will study the narrow relations between the colonial domain and the archaeology, in search of the “roots” of the European culture, which had to be sumerians and not Acadians, Assyrians or Babylonians, a few Semitic cultures (as the Hebrew) rejected by Germanic archeologists, especially, in the twenties and thirties.
