Resumen

Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar uma análise da cidade representada no filme Branco Sai, Preto Fica (2014), valendo-se de duas abordagens. Primeiro, considerando o gênero da ficção científica e seus artifícios narrativos, bem como o seu método de deslocamento temporal. Este nos leva à segunda abordagem, a qual seria uma leitura da historicidade fabricada pela narrativa fílmica através de um agenciamento temporal próprio entre passado, presente e futuro. Branco Sai, Preto Fica é um documentário que utiliza artifícios da ficção científica e articula diferente temporalidades para criar uma representação particular de Brasília, revelando um tensionamento entre um futurismo utópico – do Plano Piloto e da FC tradicional – e a memória dos habitantes de Ceilândia, cidade-satélite às margens da utopia modernista.

ABSTRACT

This paper aims to present an analysis of the city within the film White Out, Black In (2014), using two approaches. First, considering the genre of science fiction and its narrative elements, as well as its method of temporal displacement. This leads us to the second approach, which would be an interpretation on the historicity fabricated by the film narrative through its specific temporal agency between past, present and future. White Out, Black In is a documentary that operates with science fiction and articulates different temporalities to create a particular representation of Brasília, revealing a tension between an utopian futurism – of the Plano Piloto and also of the more traditional science fiction – and the memory of the inhabitants of Ceilândia, a satellite city on the margins of the modernist utopia.
