PRESERVAÇÃO E INTERVENÇÃO URBANA: Estudo de Caso em Itajaí, SC. [URBAN PRESERVATION AND INTERVENTION: Case Study in Itajaí, SC.]

Resumen

Este artigo apresenta a proposta de preservação e intervenção urbana em região histórica, localizada em Itajaí, SC. Faz parte do contexto histórico da cidade o Museu Histórico e a praça Arno Bauer, desde 1988 dominada pelo comércio informal dos camelôs. Sua desocupação ocorreu em 2015, por ordem judicial, para dar continuidade ao restauro do Museu, edificação tombada em 2001. Diante disso, o artigo visa enfocar o direito à memória que têm todos os grupos humanos, enfatizando a importância da preservação do patrimônio histórico, artístico e cultural, compreendendo assim o valor de memória, além de controlar o processo de evolução a que está inevitavelmente exposto. O resultado obtido evidencia a importância da busca constante por novas soluções para a manutenção da identidade da cidade, na qual está sua história, os fragmentos da estrutura física, a permanência de parte das paisagens, que outrora foram vividas pela sociedade local.

ABSTRACT

This article presents the proposal for urban preservation and intervention in a historic region, located in Itajaí, SC. Part of the historical context of the city is the Historical Museum and the Arno Bauer square, since 1988 dominated by informal street vendors. Its eviction occurred in 2015, by court order, to continue the restoration of the Museum, a listed building in 2001. In view of this, the article aims to focus on the right to memory that all human groups have, emphasizing the importance of preserving historic patrimony, artistic and cultural, thus understanding the value of memory, in addition to controlling the evolution process to which it is inevitably exposed. The result obtained shows the importance of the constant search for new solutions for the maintenance of the city's identity, in which is its history, the fragments of the physical structure, the permanence of part of the landscapes, which were once experienced by the local society.
