A CIDADE DE SÃO PAULO E O DELINEAMENTO DE CAMINHOS: Correlações com seu desenvolvimento urbano e econômico [THE CONFORMATION OF THE ROADS OF THE STATE OF SÃO PAULO: Correlations with its urban and economic development]

Resumen

Tratar das transformações ocorridas no atual cenário da cidade de São Paulo induz ao estudo de sua composição e articulação regional. Fundada em 1554, a antiga Piratininga possui seu desenvolvimento histórico marcado pela inexpressividade econômica e conformação territorial. Com o processo de articulação de caminhos, diversificam-se os serviços prestados no antigo entreposto bandeirista, e a condição de passagem e potencial de articulação de caminhos se consolida, sendo reafirmada com a instauração de ferrovias, impulsionando ainda mais o crescimento local e sua articulação regional. Este artigo procura mostrar como essa conformação foi conformada a partir da compreensão da articulação de suas principais estradas, ferrovias e rodovias e, também, da conformação urbana resultante.

ABSTRACT

To understand the changements occurred in the current scenario of the São Paulo city leads to the study of its composition and regional articulation. Founded in 1554, the village of Piratininga has its historical development marked by inexpressiveness in its economic and territorial conformation. With the process of articulation of its primary roads, we can note the diversification of the local and regional services, process that culminates with the consolidation of the principal axes of articulation of the city, that being reaffirmed with the establishment of railroads, further boosting local growth and regional articulation. This article seeks to show how this conformation was articulated, from the understanding of the articulation of its primary roads, railways and highways, and, the resulting urban conformation.
