The changes experienced in the housing market over the last few years in Madrid have contributed to reconsider the operation of the market, as much as its social, economical and political consequences.
The impact of these changes on social groups is not uniform, especially amongst different age groups. While house owners enjoy an increase in the value of their property, those in the rental sector, and especially those renting for the first time, find that the access to a primary need becomes ever increasingly more difficult. This article seeks to analyse the impact which this situation creates on young people in Madrid and the effects upon their future life path.Downloads
