Weakness in regional level in colombian’s land use planning. Approach from the administrative regulations policies and land use

The purpose of this article is to show a critical and general point of view around the practice of land-use planning and territorial management standards and laws in Colombia. It focuses on territorial and political fields and also on municipal land-use plans regulated by Law 388 of 1997, as the most discussed approaches in Colombia. According to secondary sources and author’s opinions, the text shows the obstacles and weakness of regional aspects in landuse planning and territorial management, and the necessity for discussions and countermeasures to improve regional planning under Colombian standards and laws related to both approaches.Downloads
