The residential segregation of foreigner population in Bilbao

The aim of this paper is to give a vision of foreigner’s residential differentiation using basic segregation indexes and updated data (Padron, 2007). The objective is to get syntheticstandardized indexes, similar to those used in other cities, as well, to explore their application in the study of the immigration process and in the urban social restructuration. The findings allow depicting the level of foreigner population residential segregation for the municipality of Bilbao, as well as, a further detail for census tracts using nationality detailed data.Downloads
