Abstract

In this paper the impacts of immigration flows on the municipal dynamics are analyzed. Such process not only modify the way in how citizens live, but also the social necessities, which allows to rethink the basis of the very wealth-system and local urban management. In Sant Boi, there is a redefinition process of the actuation basis in order to adapt to the new urban reality, locating individuals in the center of policies. Special attention is paid to the new Department of Citizenship and Citizen Support, making and evaluation of the positive and negative aspects of this implementation. The data about the quantity and characteristics of population is secondary –basically the municipal Padron of inhabitants-, at the time that, the information related to local policy comes from primary documents of local administration.
