The cultural renovation of Kengo Kuma. The methodology of represent the japanese architecture

Modern architecture, with its undeniable advantage and efficiency, has been widely developed all over the world. However, it creates identical construction in countries and threats in losing the cultural identity of many regions. Nowadays, many architects make positive attempts to solve this cultural crisis. Kengo Kuma is one of them, he is trying to restore the traditional architecture with both conventional methods and modern technologies. This article, through analyzing his current works, generalizes seven practial methods to represent the architectural preexistence with the aim to give an inspirable idea for the future projects.
