Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

The total length, including figures and all references, is limited to two pages. It is recommended that the abstract be submitted electronically via the registration website. The submitted abstract should be Microsoft Office Word file (*.doc, *.docx) or a .pdf file. 

General recommendations for the format of the abstract

  • Margins: Top and Bottom: 2.5 cm; Left and Right: 1.5 cm. Gutter: 1 cm. 
  • Paragraphs: Single line spacing. A single left empty between two consecutive paragraphs.
  • Font: Times New Roman. Title: 16 pt, Bold, centered. Authors names: 12 pt, Normal, centered. Affiliations: 11pt, justified left. E-mail: 11 pt, justified left, centered. Main text: 12 pt, justified left and right. 
  • Figures, Photos and Tables: Abstract may include figures, photographs and tables. A caption should be attached to each figure. Caption style: Fig. 1. Your text. Ensure that images are clear and legible (minimum resolution 300 dpi). 
  • Acknowledgement (if any) should be placed after the main text and before the references: Times New Roman, 12 pt, Italic. After the main text and before the references (separated by empty lines).
  • References must be limited to the most relevant works and must follow APA 7th edition style guidelines: Times New Roman, 12 pt. 

Structure of the abstract

The abstract should briefly include:

  • Introduction / context (problem statement, relevance)
  • Objective(s)
  • Methodology (if applicable)
  • Main results
  • Conclusions / contributions
