Abstract

These are a series of drawings that come to translate an experiential and existential encounter with three architectures-landscape barely studied. They are graphical readouts of three spatial and ontological figures. Specific cases of cabins, cameras and trenches, which are analyzed from an historical perspective to provide key-nuclear issues of our time like the auto-construction, self-organization and emancipation. Being key notions within today’s social movements, however, are not finding a position in the sustainability debate. The article invites to open the way to reappropriation by non-experts and recover a medial dimension for architecture, the ability to function as a medium, as a transmitter capable of inducing views of the world.
