Abstract

Climate change is a major challenge in the contemporary world and its impacts affect millions of people in the present and affect many others in the future. Cities are in the meantime, since they group together large populations and produce a significant volume of polluting gases. Geodesign, in this context, proves to be a great ally, since from its procedures and tools one can deeply analyze a territory and see the real dimensions of its environmental conditions and the urban landscape. The geographical area under study proved to be suitable for this type of analysis, since it is located in an area with several environmental problems and obstacles, in addition to the presence of the Paciência River and native forest, which are important for the preservation of the ecosystem and the environment. climate.
