Abstract

In the context of the planning of Latin American cities, the challenges in implementing intersectoriality are barriers to the development of urban planning strategies aligned with the premises of healthy cities. Therefore, an approximation of narratives and terms of urban management and health promotion is necessary. This investigation seeks to contribute to the process of developing markers that facilitate the identification of interfaces between urban planning and health promotion in Latin American reality to support urban governance with equity and attention to the social determinants of health. This article was carried out in two phases, the first for data collection and the second for systematization and analysis, using the UN/WHO guide as a technical reference. The thematic markers for healthy cities highlighted by the results are related to thirty and one themes relevant to healthy urban planning.
