El papel del usuario en el diseño urbano: el Parc central de Poblenou

Abstract

The interaction between users and architecture, and the ways and methods we can use in order to analyse and understand it, are the principal concerns that motivate this investigation. With this aim, a methodology of post occupational studies is developed, based on the few previous examples and experiences existent in the architectural field. This method focuses mostly in analysing the controversial relation between design and use. The park of the Centre of Poblenou is a paradigmatic example of the conflict architect - user due to the complexity of the factors that converges in. That is the reason why it is chosen to be studied in this research. By applying the developed analyses method to the park of the Centre of Poblenou we obtain two kinds of conclusions: ones related to the case study and others related to the achievements and errors shown by the methodology.
