Elaboración de escenarios de prospectiva para asentamientos humanos urbanos y rurales aplicado al municipio de Tela (Honduras)

Abstract

The peculiar characteristics of the Central American land policy, land tenure that makes their territories, the constraints of urban development, demographics, economic activities, infrastructure and other factors involved in regional planning require a methodology that provides an aid in decision making. Here we present a methodology, applied to the town of Tela, just north of Honduras, which facilitates the development of prospective scenarios for human settlements, urban and rural land, in order to plan their growth with guarantees of welfare. This will help us understand how the actions we take today can influence the future of the territories.
