Abstract

This research is part of Chapter V of the Doctoral Thesis (ETSAB), on the theme: "The order baffled. Tension between hardware and grid. Organizational models for urban change in the city of Cordoba between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. "The study focused on the interpretation of the transformation processes in the city of Cordoba during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. We emphasize the interaction between the order of the grid as a tool organizer urbanizing process, the hardware that contains it and resulting in unique urban interstices that comprise the internal structure of the city. The problem studied in this segment of the research is revealing since reading urban form, the results of the various contradictory strategies tested in the city of Córdoba, as the expansion, densification and centralization. Actions taken in the urban and generating empty urban spaces, disconnected fragments and devo id of specific planning.
