Abstract

Latin American cities are characterized by strong urban growth processes and deepening poverty, reinforcing the pattern of residential segregation. This foreshadows a context of repeated violations of the right to the city. From market supremacy this phenomenon becomes relevant after its deepening, representing one of the conditions of reproduction of social inequality and urban poverty. This situation ends in repeated outbreaks of social conflicts that threaten urban and local governance of the territory. In Cordoba (Argentina) the level of urban conflict has been increasing. In this sense, the project aims to identify, characterize and georeference urban conflicts in the city from identifying relevant urban, environmental and sociopolitical variables in its determination. It also aims to understand the representations and practices of the various agencies involved regarding the same and the related public policies.
