Abstract

The spaces of the city are the spaces of society that live in its. Occasionally, some consolidated fabrics are in a disadvantaged condition that is reflected in this society-space relation clearly. The actual socioeconomic situation can intensify the problems that these fabrics suffer, so the urgency to intervene is greater. For this, it is important to reflect on the vulnerability and determine the factors that characterize it, in order to act on them. This research bases on the public spaces and the possible relationship between the configuration of these spaces and socioeconomic network that is embodied in it, to find projective tools that allow regenerating vulnerable areas. This is the case of some historic neighborhoods of the city of Jaen that have social and space problems, and need new dynamics for the revitalization of its urban life.
