La forma de las estructuras agrarias tradicionales: relaciones con la agricultura ecológica: el caso de Allariz

Abstract

Galicia´s rural interior presents a rich cultural heritage an economic based on the survival of built forms (both village and its colonized territories) and in the presence of fertil soils with conditions for high quality agriculture. The study proposes to define which the structural elements of traditional agricultural systems are, the characteristics of the built forms associated with them and the landscapes in order to stablish planning and management tools from their recognition. The research defines its scope of study in the province of Ourense, providing an analysis on two Allariz´ parishes included in the biosphere reserve Área de Allariz, of wich fixed structures, parcel and coverage are discussed, introducing issues of plots fragmentation, agricultural system and certain traditional practices.
