Abstract

The permeability is one of the elements of the material politeness that constitutes a space answer equivalent to movement and represents dynamic and articulated space sequences. A good solution of the permeability consists of subtly fusing the ground floors of the constructions with the contextual public space. The relational conceptual search has allowed to integrate different complementary theories to extend its definition and understanding. The empirical phase in that case studies were analyzed as eight municipal markets of the city of Barcelona, has allowed with base in the direct observation and the planimetric interpretation of these urban equipment in its surroundings, to establish the determinants and variables essential to obtain better conditions of permeability. Their forms architectonic, although quite heterogeneous in reason to their location, specific surroundings and moments of projection and intervention, show to different models and extrapolated experiences from other urban contexts.
