Abstract

Our research project is inserted into the discussion on urban thought in Argentina under the influence of the ideas of democratic planning, strong brand reflection on rural urban transformations in the decades of the forties, fifties and sixties. Planning arises at the same time that urbanism is to be a science, denounced by the essay and to resolve situations of regional imbalance. Planning complements the earlier urban movement, but involves a rupture with subsequent movements being the closing time planner mid-70s, enabled the emergence of the field of study of the Urban Culture Latinoamericana. The planning process followed in our country comes from the hand of discontinuities and is conditioned by a series of contradictory social, political and academic relations that define it.
