Abstract

The research encompasses the symbiotic relationship between urbanism and water ecosystems, the habitat of hydraulic boundaries, the redefinition of the city's urban environments with the river, and the re-qualification of its public space in four examples of urban and habitable approaches in Colombia. Under these guidelines, a projective research is presented that yields results on the intervention of man with regard to the management of habitable environments and their possible reconfiguration in a more coherent way with their cultural, physical and ecological environment. Following this base, we seek to consolidate the Riverism concept as an identification tool towards the integral intervention in the design of river round spaces, with special emphasis on the edges of the city and river in Colombia.
