Abstract

Atlixco is a culturally rich city that has gone throught its creation in the sixteenth century to present day, while preserving its buildings that show development over time, noted for having reticular traces like those of the main cities of the old New Spain, and, despite modernity, it keeps the visuals of the time when it was known as “Antigua Villa de Carrión”, so, it is important to recognize, disseminate, and preserve the urban heritage that is presented on the site, but due to the lack of knowledge of residents and visitors it is threatened day by day with actions that are not the most appropriate for conservation; therefore, a record of the current urban visual conditions should be taken in order to create regulations that save the wonderful perspectives and to know how to preserve this site.
