Abstract

The proposed urban intervention between Parque Santander and Parque Centenario located on the axis of the 19th street between streets 31 and 36 of the Bucaramanga downtown, seeks the creation of a network that interconnects and revitalizes the public space, as well as allowing the recognition of an existing building heritage within the limits established in the project, under the theoretical reference of Jan Gehl. The project links a retrospective view of the place witha current proposal, which aims to respond to the transformations that the sector has experienced historically and which are recognized by scholars of the city, such as its unplanned expansion and the activities that make it an administrative and commercial focus, which at the same time deteriorate the public space.
