Abstract

The city is transformed in a possibility of change . The change is the result of narrative tension. The reality is transformed from an early history, it creates a plot in the city . The narrative tension is faced with several options for resolution and responds in a certain way to that uncertainty. As a story, the city also faces its narrative conflict when the risk from this situation appears and begins to transform itself with the decisions their people take. This proposal intends to work with the possibility of change thought: memory, narrative and imagination, and deepen the understanding of the links between territory and community. Work with the narrative to read the messages that the territory holder and those stories that emerge from these, created by the community. Read the territory from the perspective of those who live and also of the viewer from urban design, planning and transdisciplinary. The case presented is the city of Xalapa , Veracruz , Mexico . A city that has changed the cityform from seeking care in the globalized world in sacrifice of his environmental and rural territory. But a place where stories come and go and are able to reinvent the possibilities of the city from its memory.
