On a homogeneous pattern of blocks and streets, it is developed a wide variety of typologies and architecture to meets the requirements of housing, but is strongly influenced by the characteristics of the site: measurements and geometries of the block, street width, construction layout and plot shapes. The ability to adapt to social needs, technological advances and to real estate market over the time makes the built part of the Eixample a paradigm of relationships between home-building-block.
