In the old city center of Barcelona, housing is experiencing a serious mutation. Residence is no longer a right, instead is becoming a business. This transformation causes evident mutations in the city’s particular model. Abusive practices related to the violation of this right are persistent. In order to understand correctly the dimension of the problem, it is necessary to first define the scope of the right to housing. This article focuses on the issue of the right to housing by understanding it from the current legislation and its application, also proposes solutions that could help to guarantee this right in a convoluted territory as Ciutat Vella.Downloads
