Abstract

The present article is based on the topic concerning a methodological interaction between the Multivariate Method for Global Vulnerability measuring (Bolivar, 2017) and the Open Data system as an information source allowing implementing that method. The final purpose of that interaction is to be able to generate a tool that contributes to diagnosing Global Vulnerability through promoting interaction between technicians and the society in terms of nourishing, follow up and control of information. In order to get this interaction operative research concentrates on the vulnerability problematic factors that in recent years adversely influence uncontrolled urban growth in Kanata Metropolitan Area and, as a counterpart, on quality and availability of “open data” at a diagnosis level mainly focused on development of town informality that from our point of view is considered a “social-natural threat” able to exponentially increase Global Vulnerability.

Keywords: Multivariate Methodology, global vulnerability, urban informality, open data.
