Through the specific case study of Cà dell'Arcoveggio I will treat the issue of drug addiction as
a cause of social marginalization, and will discuss which strategies have been put into place to
remove the inhabitants from this categorization. In the first section of the
article I will briefly explain some of the characteristics of the subjects treated that contribute to
their placement in the category of marginality. Then I will describe the underlying philosophy
and methodology of the Cà dell'Arcoveggio educational intervention. In the third section I will
deal with the practices put in place in order to establish a relationship between the
physical structure and the surrounding district and between the subjects and residents of the
neighborhood. In the final section I will present how some crucial changes have radically
decreased the experimental nature of the project.
