Abstract

Efficiently use a computer software is not as immediate as it seems reading what marketing tells us or if you have a knowledge "above" some of them. Especially in the field of architecture an important dichotomy between the low initial level of knowledge of the new user and the requirement of the necessary quality of the results produced. Particularly this situation is analyzed through two softwares that address two aspects which, in our opinion, are called to be in common use among our students. The first is the thermal behavior (DesignBuilder) and, second, the issue of lighting (Dialux). We begin with an analysis of both separately. Then discuss the possible interrelationships between them and finally analyze the great difficulty we have in the field of architecture for the implementation of new software tools.
