Abstract

The "Research & Innovation" module running in Cesuga (Centro Superior de Estudios de Galicia), in alliance with the School of Architecture at University College Dublin, allows students to make a dissertation related to the topic of the final project. Thus, research is parallel to the architectural design and evolves with it, feeds it, and leads to a total connection with it, which can bring unique perspectives or useful theories to the professional area. As in Spain, writing a dissertation is not required to obtain the degree in Architecture, this paper seeks to demonstrate its usefulness as an indubitable exercise of critical thinking and analytical ability of the student.
