The course proposes a critical review of the occupation of the territory based on the practical study of different models of growth in Camp de Tarragona: the residential areas, the industrial clusters, the garden city, and the entropic borders of the urban fabric. The course suggests the need for a territorial reactivation associated with the idea of controlled growth or decrease, and the idea of urban redensification. It is proposed to carefully analyse different settlements working at different scales, starting with the recognition of the territorial scale up to residential typology and architectural detail. In this sense, the course is an exercise that simultaneously integrates territorial and urban planning, and the architectural project.
