Analog and digital language in the teaching of architectural drawing

This paper verifies, through the teaching experience, that learning to draw is learning to access the perceptive part of our brain, so that the narrative and expressive components intervene in a balanced way. Attending this approach, which is considered essential in consolidating the training base of the future architect, the work done in the subjects of the Graphic Expression Area, in the first course of Architecture Studies of the University of Zaragoza has allowed to verify the theory of Betty Edwards in the early stages of learning and, when a greater mastery of drawing is reached, has allowed to analyze different ways of work in which analog and digital language -understood in the sense in which Ernst Gombrich and Gilles Deleuze did- overlap.
