Abstract

Based on the experience of the ICHaB-ETSAM Cooperation Group of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and on the Educational Innovation Project 'ArCoopera: A look at development cooperation from the Bachelor's Degree in Fundamentals of Architecture', we have developed a transversal, vertical and service-learning teaching experience in order to bring cooperation to the students of the degree and give them the opportunity to get involved in a proposal for a specific cooperation project. This coordinated experience from the departments of Urban Planning, Projects and Construction aims to provide students with tools for the knowledge of this type of context. In this case, the students of the Construction and Construction Projects have worked with Final Degree Projects and Postgraduate projects on a real project in the Barrio de Bellavista, proposed by the NGO Arcoiris, as a counterpart in the Dominican Republic.
