Abstract

An alternative teaching methodology is proposed for carrying out architectural projects in the first year of this subject. The ludic dimension of teaching and the random as a triggering device for work dynamics in the classroom. The growth mindset as the basis for the development of transversal competences in the training of students, capable of being developed and evaluated through different exercises and teaching strategies. A game box created by the teaching team is used, consisting of four different decks of cards,Action, Material, Geometry, and Suggestion, in which the random choice of their cards serves as a trigger for the student's creative process. In the development of the project, it acts as a catalyst for its constant transformation, forcing the student to rethink and reinterpret their proposal, adapting to the newly established conditions.
