This article explains a collective experience of teaching graphic geometry in the compulsory training of the architecture career and proposes a further step in innovation with the renewal of tutorials. The tutorials cover the instruction in the management of the software, but also the theoretical concepts necessary to complete the knowledge about geometric shapes, representation systems and graphic operativity. New methods should not avoid the learning objectives. The analysis includes surveys on the use of tutorials and graphs of the evolution of the academic results of 59 four-months courses. It is concluded that the tutorials have been key to making a notable qualitative leap in the involvement of students in their own learning, significantly improving their academic results.
