This comunication presents the I Olympiad of Architecture of the Region of Murcia, a teaching innovation experience led by the E.T.S. de Arquitectura y Edificación of the UPCT to the Secondary and Baccalaureate students of the Region of Murcia (Spain). Hundreds of pre-university students, a team of architecture students and two teams of architects-teachers took part in the first edition, in which the participants were invited to reflect on the spaces of coexistance in their own schools and to elaborate architectural proposals for its improvement. The text first analyzes the context of the Science Olympics in Spain and the basic principles and objectives of the experience. Then, the experience is described, gathering its most important points, and its three phases organization. The very positive results in the architectural solutions that the stundents proposed and in their motivation for the architecture encourage to repeat and extend the experience.References
