The Plurisensoriality in the Teaching of Architecture

Despite the multiple ways of teaching, an ocularcentrist vision dominates in teaching methodologies, where it is forgotten that we are multisensory human beings, because of the hegemony of image and vision (Pallasmaa, 2006). However, it is worth asking what happens with the rest of the senses (taste, hearing, touch and hearing) and if they allow to obtain sensory information that benefits the perception of space when thinking and realize the project, that is to say, if they influence in the architectural decisions. Because of this, an investigation was conducted, through transversal workshops, at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Universidad Nacional de Colombia Sede Medellín, Universidad Presbiteriana Mackenzie São Paulo, Universidad de Concepción y Universidad San Sebastián Sede Concepción. Through the results obtained in the different universities, the incidence of the senses was observed in the early stages of the architectural projection.
